Siapakah orang pujaan Bill Gates

Ramai orang tertanya-tanya siapakah orang pujaan Bill Gates?
Bermacam-macam orang ternama disebut.
Ada yang menyatakan bintang filem, president, Tiger Woods, usahawan-usahawan yang berjaya, atau yang lain-lain lagi.
Tetapi kesemuanya dinafikan oleh Bill Gates.
Bapa Bill Gates seorang peguam, seorang veteran askar.
Beliau berpegang pada prinsip berikut:
1. Never look down your children.
2. Have a solid tradition.
3. Don't neglect games or children activities.
4. Allowed children to ask why and never laugh of their 'dream'.

Bill diperbesarkan demikian, beliau diberi tugas sebagai pengawas perpustakaan. Bill melaksanakan dengan penuh tanggungjawab dan kreativiti. Walaupun beliau telah berpindah sekolah, beliau tetap balik ke sekolah lama dan menyumbangkan khidmatnya.

Dari mana Bill dapat ilham dan motovasi ini?

Jawapnya dari bapanya yang sentiasa memberi inspirasi dan motivasi kepadanya.

Jadi, siapakah orang pujaan Bill Gates?

Komputer terlalu berat

Sudah lebih 2 jam saya berada di kedai komputer. Komputer saya terlalu lambat. Juru teknik mencadangkan mengalih sebahagian dokumen di disk C ke Disk D. Bila direnung dokumen-dokumen yang lalu, nampaknya kebanyakkan sudah tidak 'up-date' kalau 'delete', rasa tidak rela.

Sudah tahu dokumen tidak dipakai, tetapi ingat ia akan digunakan di lain hari. Jadi timbunan menjadi semakin banyak, ia melambatkan kelicinan kerja-kerja harian.

Saya refleks pada pelaksanaan kerja harian, contohnya baju yang lama tak pakai, masih simpan di dalam almari, ia menyempitkan ruang yang terhad itu. Paper-paper lama tak rela diderma pada 'pemungut recycle paper'. Jadi akhirnya rumah kita penuh dengan harta yang tidak dipakai.

Penyelesaian Hoo ialah kalau boleh jual, juallah. Kalau boleh derma, dermalah. Kalau boleh dihadiahkan, hadiahkan kepada sesiapa yang memerlukannya. Bila kita bersihkan objek-objek yang tidak dikehendaki itu, banyak kekosongan boleh wujud. Jadi kita boleh mengisikan sesuatu yang baru. Ia memberi tarik nafas yang baru kepada ruang yang lama.

Kesimpulannya ialah jimat secara berhemat, buang-ambil secara'smart'.

Akhirnya komputer saya menjadi cepat. Alangkah suka hatinya...

Derma Darah

Menderma darah sudah menjadi acara amal tahunan saya.

Sempena Hari Guru tahun ini, bertemakan"Guru Pembina Negara Bangsa", PPD Manjung pun menganjurkan kempen darah bagi golongan guru.

Tanpa ragu-ragu, saya pun buat pendaftaran awal.

Menurut kajian perubatan, darah akan diperbaharui setiap 120 hari. Darah yang usang akan dikumuhkan melalui pembuangan najis. Darah yang baru akan dijana oleh sumsung tulang. Kita tidak tahu bila pertukaran darah berlaku. Tetapi pastinya darah baru akan dibentuk. Oleh itu darah yang kita derma itu boleh membantu orang lain, lebih baik daripada dibuang. Dengan perkataan bahasa pasar ialah 'recycle darah'.

Menderma darah maksimum ialah 4 kali setahun. Menderma darah sekali setahun untuk manfaat diri sendiri sahaja. Di samping itu, ia menyihatkan badan kerana ada pemeriksaan doktor.



Jom, mari kita pergi ke..... Kemudian makan hati lembu, hati kambing untuk menghadiahkan diri sendiri, kerana buat amalan yang mulia ini.

Jenaka Kecil

Jenaka kecil mempunyai tempat istimewa dalam kehidupan. Jenaka kecil diperlukan bagi menarik perhatian hadirin, menghiburkan, melegakan perasaan hadirin serta menguruangkan rasa bosan ketika mendengar ceramah atau ucapan dan menyokong hujah atau pandangan yang diberikan.
Walau bagaimanapun, kita harus berhati-hati dalam menggunakan jenaka kecil dengan mengambil kira latar belakang hadirin dan budaya setempat.
Jenaka kecil juga boleh dilakukan dengan menggunakan elemen non-verbal seperti kelakuan tubuh, kelakuan tangan dan jari-jari, cemek muka dan suara.
Jika anda tidak pastikan bagaimana mencuit hati orang lain, elakkanlah sahaja daripada berkongsi jenaka kecil tersebut.
Walau bagaimanapun, sedikit latihan boleh membantu anda sebelum menyampaikan jenaka kecil dalam perbualan anda.

ICT In Everyday Life

EDUCATION
• Computer are used in the sector of education because they can offer:
- Interactive experiences.
- Enhanced learning.
- Cognitive development.
• In education:

1)Teachers use computers to research for teaching materials, participate in online forums and online conferences as well as to aid their teaching.
2) Students
- Students use the computers as reference tool. They use computers to browse the Internet to look for information.
3) Researchers
- Researchers use computers to collect and process data.
4) School Administrators
- School administrators use computers for administrative purposes to make sure that the entire operation runs smoothly.


BANKING
• The computer is the nerve centre of the banking system around the world. It functions to control the entire banking system that also includes `Electronic banking Services'.
In banking:
1) Customers can make any transactions at the 2 4 hour service centres or via online.
2) Businessmen can save their time by using the online services offered by banks. They can access company accounts for loan applications, business transactions and update on their cash flow at any time.
3) Bank administrators can oversee the entire banking activities such as reconciliations, inter-branch transactions (IBT), telegraphic transfer and others by referring to the banking system.


INDUSTRY
• Computers are used to facilitate production planning and control systems, to support `chain management' and to help in product design in the industrial sector.
• In Industry:
1) Workers - use machine that are connected to computers to operate. In some productions, robots are used to take over jobs that are dangerous to the workers.
2) Researchers - use computers to analyse and collect research data for future reference.
3) Administrators - use computers to oversee the entire operations in the plant or factory to detect specific errors or defects that occurred in the process.


COMMERCE
• E-commerce helps in boosting the economy. It makes buying and selling activities easier, more efficient and faster. For this application, computers, internet and shared software are needed.
• In Commerce:
1) Customers use computers to be connected online with suppliers to purchase products. This method can save time and cost as they do not have to go to any outlets.
2) Suppliers use computers to keep track of their transactions. All products are bar coded and can be read by the computer scanner to help in determining prices and managing inventory.
3) Employees use computers and telephones to communicate with their customers for any enquiries. The system helps employees to get the latest updates on inventory to be informed to the customers.

• Using the Internet is cost effective. It allows people to have access to large amounts of a data at a very low cost.
• With the Internet we do not have to pay for any basics services provided by the Internet. Furthermore, the cost of connection to the Internet is relatively cheap.
RELIABLE MODE OF COMMUNICATION
• Computers are reliable. Information could be accessed and retrieved from anywhere and at anytime.
• GIGO is a short form for Garbage In Garbage Out. It refers to the quality of output produced according to the Input.


EFFECTIVE SHARING OF INFORMATION.
• With the advancement of ICT, information can be shared by people all around the world.
• People can share and exchange opinions, news and information through discussion groups., mailing list and forums on the Internet.
• Example of popular discussion groups on the Internet are:
- Google Groups (www.goo leg groups.com)
- Yahoo! Groups (www.yahoo groups. com)


PAPERLESS ENVIRONMENT
• ICT technology has created the term paperless environment. This term means information can be stored and retrieved through the digital medium instead of paper.


BORDERLESS COMMUNICATION
• Through the Internet, information and communication can be borderless.


SOCIAL PROBLEMS
• There are some negative effects of ICT. It has created social problem in the society.
• Nowadays, people tend to choose online communication rather than real time conversations.
• People tend to become more individualistic and introvert.
• Borderless information at times can be negative.


HEALTH PROBLEM
A computer may harm users if they use it for long hours frequently.
Computer users also exposed to bad posture, eyestrain, physical and mental stress
In order to solve the health problem, an ergonomic environment can be introduced.

HOME USER
The computer is a basic necessity. Each home user spends time on computer for different reasons:
- business
- entertainment

SMALL OFFICE / HOME OFFICE (SOHO) USER
• Small Office or Home Office users include:
- Accounting firms, travel agencies, florist and many more
• These SOHO (Small Office House Office) users:
- Use desktop or notebook computers as well as telephone, hand phones and PDAs in completing their task and communicating.

MOBILE USERS

• Work with mini computers that uses design to meet the organizational needs
• Use software such as CAD, CAM and MATLAB
LARGE BUSINESS USERS
Large business users:
• Bank, insurance company, hypermarket etc.
• Use computers for basic business activities
• Have e-commerce that allow customers, vendors and other interested parties can access
information on the web.
• Have e-mail and web browsers to enable communications among employees, vendors
and customers.
